High Capacity, High Scalability, Low Cost 4U x 45 3.5” HDD Storage Server
The Newisys® NDS-4450 integrated storage server is a high quality, cost-effective platform that is ideal for Object Storage, Tape Replacement/Backup and a host of other software applications. Delivered in a 4U form factor, it offers up to 135TB capacity in a single node using 3TB HDDs. The platform provides future-proof capacity expansion by qualifying and supporting even larger capacity drives as they become available on the market.
The NDS-4450 supports “Big Data” applications and infrastructures by horizontally scaling in unlimited fashion and is a cost-effective, robust platform that can be customized with a number of options (memory, HDD capacities as well as PCIe HBA) while providing standard redundant power.
The NDS-4450 Storage Server supports up to 45 high capacity 3.5” SATA HDDs for data and a separate SATA boot device. The unit eliminates drive vibration problems and has been tested and demonstrated to support either desktop or enterprise drives without any such issues or limitations.
